Deputy Premier receives British, German, Sudanese, ambassadors

Manama, Feb. 14 (BNA): Deputy Premier Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received on Sunday recently appointed ambassadors of brotherly and friendly countries who expressed sincere congratulations on the fifteenth anniversary of the National Action Charter, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further advancement and prosperity under its wise leadership. The deputy premier received the Ambassador of Sudan to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Abdulrahman Khalid Ahmed Effendi, congratulating him on his appointment as ambassador of his country to the Kingdom of Bahrain, citing his visit last year to Sudan Republic for participation in the inauguration of the Sudanese president on behalf of His Majesty the King, affirming that Bahrain supports all the efforts undertaken by Sudan to achieve its security, stability and development. Deputy Premier Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa also received the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Alfred Simms-Protz, congratulating him on the occasion of his appointment as ambassador of his country to Bahrain, and wishing him success in his diplomatic duties to boost the cooperation and coordination in various spheres, especially trade and economy. The two sides reviewed the efforts of both countries in fighting terrorism and supporting security and stability. Deputy Premier Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa also received the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Simon Martin, congratulating him on his appointment as his country's ambassador, assuring him of all support that facilitates his diplomatic duties. The two sides reviewed the two centuries spanning historic bilateral ties, praising the visits carried by senior officials of both countries that boost the bilateral cooperation in the interest of both peoples. The two sides also explored several topics of shared interest.
