Deputy Prime Minister Meets Britain Ambassador In Baghdad

BAGHDAD / NINA / Deputy Prime Minister, Saleh al-Mutlaq called on the international coalition countries to act urgently to deal with the terrorists and stop massacres against the people of al-Anbar province. A statement by the Information Office of the Deputy Prime Minister said Mutlaq received Britain's ambassador in Baghdad, Frank Peter and discussed with him relations between the two countries and ways of developing them in order to achieve mutual benefit of the two friendly peoples. Mutlaq urged the British government as an important part of the international coalition to provide emergency assistance and logistical support to counter terrorist fierce attack and threats in Anbar, stressing the need to hasten the international community to stand with the people in Anbar provinces who were targeted by terrorists of the (IS) and stop the massacres against innocent. For his part, the British ambassador stressed his country's commitment to support the Iraqi people and do everything they can to thwart terrorist plots in Iraq. / End
