Deputy Prime Minister Meets Egyptian Foreign Minister

BAGHDAD / NINA / Deputy Prime Minister for Services Affairs, Saleh al-Mutlaq discussed with the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, the importance of activating cooperation in the economic, political and investment frameworks. A statement by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister said "al-Mutlaq received the Foreign Minister of Egypt and his accompanying delegation and discussed with them bilateral relations." The statement added, "The two sides discussed the overall brotherly relations between Baghdad and Cairo and ways of developing them to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples and strengthens the bonds of love and cooperation between them, indicating that the points of views were identical, asserting " the importance of pushing them for closer security cooperation to counter terrorists organizations and limit their criminal activities against our peoples Iraqi and Egyptian. " Al-Mutlaq, according to the statement, confirmed "the importance of activating cooperation frameworks in the economic, political and investment fields as well as security in light of the terrorist challenges faced by the Arab street." For his part, Shoukry stressed Egypt's support to the Iraqi people in its war against terrorism, stressing the importance of Arab coordination on combating the forces of terror and extremism. / End
