Detectives hunting for ATM thieves

SAMUT PRAKAN, May 2 (TNA) - Police are hunting for thieves who made off with an automated teller machine of Bank of Ayudhya in Bang Phli district of Samut Prakan province last night. Pol Maj Gen Ronasilp Phusara said that detectives of the Provincial Police Region 1 were teaming up with local police to hunt for suspects. The crime happened on King Kaew Road in Racha Thewa sub-district Sunday night. He said the theft might involve at least two persons who were knowledgeable about ATMs because they seemed to know the exact locations of ATM bolts where they applied oxy-fuel cutting. Police were checking surveillance camera footage and a trace showed that the ATM was dragged over a long distance on concrete slabs to a vehicle on which it was later loaded. (TNA)
