Diananda Bags Third Gold For Indonesian Archery Team

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 21 (Antara) - Indonesian archer Diananda Choirunnisa bagged the third gold medal for the country's archery team in the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday. Diananda won a gold medal after beating Nicole Marie Tagle of the Philippines 6-4 at Bukit Jalil. The two archers looked equally strong in the first round, scoring 28 points each. In the second round, the Philippine archer scored 29 points, leaving Diananda behind with 27 points. The competition remained tough in the third round when the two archers scored 29 points each. Diandana won the gold medal when she led the match with 29 points against 24 points in the fourth round and 28 points against 24 points in the fifth round. On Wednesday, the Indonesian archery team contributed two gold medals to the country after Sri Ranti won the women's individual compound and Prima Wisnu won the men's individual compound.
