Digital Arab City for Elderly underway

Manama, Aug. 2 (BNA): The Chairman of the board of directors of the Regional Network for Social Responsibility, Professor Yousef Abdel Ghaffar said Ejlal Elderly and Pensioners Service Centre and the Digital City for the Elderly in the Arab Countries affiliated to the network is fully ready to organise the "Third Gulf Forum for Best Practices in the field of Elderly Care) with Gulf participation on August 9-13. The network said the forum will be launched in partnership with the Kingdom of Bahrain's national committees for the elderly, Qatar Foundation for Elderly Care (Ehsan), with support and patronage of Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC). The network will also launched the first specialized diploma on the skills of treatment of elderly people. The diploma will be launched under the supervision of Dr. Hayyat Yousef Malawi the Chairwoman of Ejlal Centre for Elderly and Pensioners Services affiliated to the Regional Networks for Social Responsibility. Also, high-profile Bahrain and Arab personalities will join the advisory board of the Digital City for Elderly People in Arab Countries. The network said Bahrain will be represented in the advisory board by Dr. Hasan Ibrahim Kamal the Deputy Chairman of the National Committee for the Elderly, Dr. Manar Ghamrawi the Chairwoman of the Gulf Research Centre for Social Responsibility Studies, Saeed Al-Sammak the Deputy Chairman of Al-Hikma Pensioners Society, Dr. Adel Ahmed Al-Marzouqi the Deputy board of directors Chairman of the Regional Network for Social Responsibility who is the first Bahrain who has obtained a master's degree in the field of elderly care.
