Direct flight to Chinese Erlian opens

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The national flag carrier of Mongolia, the Mongolian Airlines has opened a direct flight to border town of Erlian, China. In accordance with an approved schedule, the flight is performed three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The one-way ticket from Ulaanbaatar to Erlian costs MNT 205 thousand, and the two-way ticket--MNT 365,400, whereas it costs CNY 904 from Erlian to Ulaanbaatar in one way, and CNY 1,622 in two-way. Last year, officials of Mongolia's Ministry of Road and Transportation and Civil Aviation Authority visited Erlian to get au fait with its airport. Flights are performed from there to Beijing and Hohhot cities and to Ordos province. At a duplicated number, some 2.2 million Mongolians travel China a year.
