Disasters and accidents occur 2,896 times

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In the first seven months of this year, 2,896 disasters and accidents occurred. Due to them, 117 people died, 234.9 thousand heads of livestock and animals were lost. There were 2,484 times fires at constructions, 128 forest fires, 56 floods and river and lake accidents, 46 cases of animal madness, 34 severe storms, 29 heavy rains and floods, 3.5 magnitude earthquake 28 times, 22 industrial accidents, 14 incidents related to chemical substance usage and emergency calls and thunders, eight cases of anthrax, malignant catarrhal fever and slug firearms accidents, seven artisanal mining and rock falls, two hailstorms. Estimated damage caused by these disasters and accidents amounted to some 10 billion MNT.
