Disavowal Of Pagans Ceremony Starts In Arafat Desert

Tehran, Oct 14, IRNA - The Disavowal of Pagans ceremony began in the presence of thousands of Hajj pilgrims, including the Iranians, in the Arafat desert, some 20 km southeast of the holy city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia on Mondy. Pilgrims are chanting anti-US and anti-Zionist slogans during the ceremony which is also attended by the Supreme Leaders Representative for Hajj Affairs Hojatoleslam Ali Qazi-Asgar and a number of Iranian diplomats in Saudi Arabia. God is the Greatest, Death to Israel, and Death to America, were among slogans chanted by the pilgrims. Iranians and other Hajj pilgrims attend the Disavowal of Pagans ceremony each year to condemn the anti-Islam approach of arrogant powers, especially that of the US. A message by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is to be read in the ceremony./end
