District hospital is given color ultrasonography equipment

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Under the MON/005 project of Luxembourg, the Health Center of the capital city’s Sukhbaatar district Thursday was given a specialized medical equipment. The equipment donated includes a color ultrasonography apparatus, pulse oximeter, drip-feed administration equipment, computer and scanner, all totaling cost of 86 million togrog. Present at the equipment presenting were the project administrator Andree Turpel, a specialist Kh.Mongon-Olzii, an equipment maintenance engineer of Med-Impex Co J.Dashsuren and the Health center staffers. The overall objective of this project is to contribute to a healthier population of Mongolia. It aims at improving health services in the areas of cardiovascular diseases and mother and child health care in particular, which is in line with the Health Sector Strategic Master Plan 2006-2015. Results are spread over four areas such as telemedicine, cardiac surgery, cardiovascular diseases and mother and child healthcare. This project has been implemented by Lux-Development, the official development agency of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg.
