Doha Hosts First Forum for GCC Endowments Officials

Doha, November 28 (QNA) - Doha hosts 29-30 November the First Forum of the officials of departments and bodies responsible for Endowments (Awqaf) in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states. The Forum chaired by the State of Qatar will discuss a number of topics and issues relating to endowment activities, means of enhancing and developing them as well as promoting cooperation and exchange of experiences within the GCC member states.     This event comes in implementation of the minutes of the Second Meeting of Their Excellencies the GCC Ministers of Endowments held in Doha in May, especially the item on cooperation in the field of Endowments. The meeting recommended the importance of exchanging visits between the competent Endowments Authorities, holding seminars or workshops for the employees in endowment field and organizing joint training courses, including the exchange of scientific research and experiences within the GCC member states, as well as developing a media awareness, educational and marketing strategy in the field of endowment.
