DPRK Student Proves Successful at 24th International Juvenile Chopin Piano Contest

Pyongyang, May 27 (KCNA) -- DPRK student Ma Sin A proved successful at the 24th International Juvenile Chopin Piano Contest held in Poland. The contest held from May 19 to 22 brought together at least 50 excellent juvenile players from 20 countries including the DPRK, Russia, Poland, Germany, France Austria and UK. The contest was divided into three groups according to ages. Ma successfully played music pieces requiring high skill and artistic talent in Group B, winning the admiration of members of jury and experts. Ma Sin A was awarded prize for the first place, prizes for best acting and various diplomas to be given to excellent participants. She was invited to play at the international piano contest and piano concert to be held in Moscow and Budapest. Meanwhile, another DPRK student Han Su Ryo was awarded prize for the second place in Group A and the prize of the Chopin art center fund. -0-
