Dubai Customs bags IDEAS UK Platinum award

Dubai (WAM): Dubai Customs (DC) has been awarded the IDEAS UK Platinum Category for its efficient suggestions system for the fifth consecutive year, scoring 100% for the second year in a row. This award makes Dubai Customs the world’s first government entity to have held the prestigious classification for five years in a row. Ahmed Abdul Salam Kazim, Acting Director of Strategy and Corporate Excellence at Dubai Customs, said "This achievement reflects the Customs’ success in developing the Employees Suggestion System, which comes in line with its comprehensive strategy towards elevating Customs performance anchoring it with innovative suggestions and creative ideas". He added, "These suggestions helped in enhancing the Department’s financial performance, as well as in leveraging the service level provided to investors. Thus, realising Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision , in establishing and nurturing the best economic platform for investments and businesses in order to boost Dubai’s competitiveness both regionally and globally. The unifies suggestions system of Dubai Government launched by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council in May 2011 came as an actual embodiment of this vision seeking to achieve the highest utilisation level of employees’ suggestions stemming out of their touch upon expertise." Dubai Customs maintained its status along the past years to be crowned in 2014 for being the first Government entity worldwide to maintain such a status for five consecutive years.
