E.AMARTUVSHIN WINS SILVER MEDAL

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A soloist of the State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet and State Honored artist baritone E.Amartuvshin took the second place in the international competition. This year's competition opened January in Spain with over 500 opera singers' application to participate. Preliminary rounds were held in Milan, Paris, Madrid, Hamburg, New York, London and Los Angeles. Eighty singers--both male and female--were granted the rights to participate in the semi finals, and only 17 famous singers were selected for the final. Our baritone E.Amartuvshin won the silver medal about which was announced at the Gran theatre del Liceu on January 20. Ch.Enkhtuya
