East Kazakhstan Region proposes close cooperation with western aimags

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Premier Ts.Oyunbaatar received March 16 the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Mongolia K.Kobladin and the governor of East Kazakhstan Region D.K.Akhmetov. The delegates proposed strengthening regional cooperation with the nearest aimags of Mongolia to East Kazakhstan in certain fields such as machinery, food production and others. Present at the meeting were governors of Bayan-Olgii, Uvs and Khovd aimags, as well as the representatives of BIPEK AUTO-ASIA Group. Ts.Oyunbaatar expressed a willingness to cooperate and promised a support by involving the Chamber of Trade and Industry of Mongolia. He suggested that the cooperation in archaeological sphere can be of great efficiency. The deputy PM advised the delegation to have individual meetings with the governors of Bayan-Olgii, Khovd and Uvs aimags to share views on the cross-border cooperation. He also informed them about an expected “Chess Competition of Nomadic Nations” and wished Kazakhstan to take active part in it.
