Ebtekar calls for Iran, Japan cooperation on the environment

Tokyo, April 3, IRNA -- Head of Iranˈs Environmental Protection Organization Masoumeh Ebtekar called for more cooperation between Iran and Japan on the environment. She also called for using the experiences of successful countries in this field. Ebtekar, who is in Tokyo to meet Japanese officials, in a meeting with Head of Japan International Cooperation Agency Akihiko Tanaka said Environmental problems do not remain inside borders and the problem of global warming is an example of this fact. Iran and Japan are scheduled to sign a memorandum of understanding on the environmental cooperation. /end
