Education Minister Hails Independent Schools, Students Results in Foreign Competitions

Doha, May 25 (QNA) - HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Mohammed bin Abdul Wahed Al Hammadi has hailed the results achieved by independent schools and their students in the foreign competitions in which they participated during the academic year 2015-2016. Dr. Al Hammadi expressed pride for winning the Hamdan bin Rashid Award For Distinguished Academic Performance along with the Arabic language, physics, mathematics and Olympics contests, stressing that Qatari schools have become an incubator and productive of a scientific knowledge environment while preparing their students for the future in a scientific manner and in collaboration with the family as a key partner in the educational process. This came when HE the Minister met here on Wednesday Directors of the schools and students prize winners in various competitions in the presence of Director of the Education Institute, Fawzia Abdulaziz Al Khater, and Director of the Evaluation Institute, Khalid Abdulla Qassim Al Harqan. Dr. Al Hammadi expressed hope that this success would motivate and inspire schools and students to achieve greater successes and higher academic degrees in the disciplines that serve innovation-based economy and the Qatar National Vision 2030. The wise leadership, which pays great attention to youth and education, is keen that Qatari students achieve cognitive, cultural, economic and social efficiency, contribute to the sustainable development of their country and employ their scientific knowledge to serve their community, HE the Minister said, expressing appreciation for the joint efforts of all relevant parties to make such achievements.
