Education Ministry To React Properly To Emerging Demands

Tehran, Sept 23, IRNA – First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri said the Education Ministry needed to respond properly to the demands of the current era of knowledge. He made the remark here Tuesday in a school in west of the capital where he rang the bell for the beginning of the Iranian academic year. He highlighted the importance of schools as places in which violence is isolated and rationality is given the chance to grow. The vice president also said it was the duty of the Education Ministry to explore and spot the brilliant talents in Iranian schools. Jahangiri officially started the new school year in the country by ringing the bell in a high school. Over 12 million students are studying at 122,278 schools across the country this year./end
