Efforts to end Syria crisis in deadlock, OIC head says

JEDDAH (A.A) - International efforts to put an end to violence in Syria are now in a deadlock as death toll in the country mounts, said head of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation, or OIC. "Bloodshed continues and more lives are being lost with each passing day. And the international system is in a deadlock and unfortunately the world is helpless right now," Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu told the Anadolu Agency at OIC headquarters in Jeddah.      Ihsanoglu also said OIC's efforts continued to find a settlement to the crisis, adding that he had joined a meeting in London with the United Nations, the Arab League and the European Union.
