Electricity still sufficient in Thai South

BANGKOK, June 15 (TNA) - Thailand’s main power producer and supplier - the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) - has issued an update saying there was still sufficient power supply in the country’s Southern region, despite ongoing maintenance at a natural gas power plant connected to the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Area (JDA) A18 block. EGAT said power consumption in the region reached a peak of 2,260.29 megawatts at 7.26 p.m. on Saturday. So far, there was still no power disruptions reported at any of the electricity generating stations in the South so far. (TNA)
