Embassy of India School in Tehran celebrates annual day

TEHRAN,July 2(MNA) - On Monday, Embassy of India School, also known as Kendriya Vidyalaya, held a ceremony called Annual Day Function. The ceremony was attended by Indian Ambassador D.P. Srivastava, other Indian diplomats, members of school management committee, members of Indian community, parents, teachers and students. The ceremony was filled with an atmosphere of joy and fervor. Jugal Kishore, the school principal, presented the annual report for 2013-14. In his address, he highlighted the achievements of the school. A cultural program prepared by the students was also presented. The program was punctuated by Indian and Iranian patriotic songs. Punjabi Folk dance Bhangra was also presented and was admired by one and all. Addressing the participants, Ambassador Srivastava lauded the efforts being made by the principal and staff for bringing excellence in school’s activities. Srivastava exhorted the students to work hard to achieve high grades in academics and imbibe moral values like truth, honesty, non-violence and respecting elders.
