Emirates Red Crescent distributes 20000 food packages to Yemenis

The Emirates Red Crescent is distributing some 20,000 food packages worth more than AED5.7 million to residents of the besieged Yemeni city of Taez as part of its humanitarian mission in Yemen. In a statement, the UAE's humanitarian agency said its teams are transporting the food aid from Aden to the besieged city of Taez via Wadi al-Dhabab, a dangerous rugged mountainous area. Four teams from the Emirates Red Crescent set up four distribution centres in al-Qahira district to carry out the mission.
