Emirates Red Crescent distributes aid to a thousand families in Lebanon

31st March 2015 (WAM): Emirates Red Crescent has continued the implementation of the second phase of the Tarahamou campaign for the relief of families affected by the harsh blizzards in Lebanon. The Tarahamou Campaign was launched as per the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the support of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the follow-up of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent. Dr. Mohammed Atiq Al Falahi, Secretary-General of Emirates Red Crescent, said that the authority has distributed aid to 1,000 Syrian refugee families in different regions in Lebanon. The second phase aims to benefit 16,000 displaced Syrian and Palestinian families in addition to a thousand Iraqi families who fled to Lebanon recently.
