Energy Minister receives Japanese business delegation

Manama, Nov. 26 (BNA): Energy Minister cum National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA)'s Chairman, Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza, received a high level Japanese delegation from the Japanese-Bahraini Economic Cooperation (JBEC) Society , led by Yoshihiro Yoshihisa alongside with several officials from JJC Group which implemented oil and gas projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting was attended by Bahrain National Gas Company (Banagas)'s Director-General Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA)'s Director-General for Oil and Gas Affairs, Jassim Shirawi. The minister praised the level and growth of historic cooperation ties between the two friendly countries in all fields and aspects between Japanese firms and Bahraini firms, wishing the Japanese guests a nice stay in their second home – Bahrain - and a successful visit to achieve the desired goals. He also affirmed strong keenness on boosting the bilateral ties that serve the energy sector. The two sides discussed various topics related to oil, gas and energy current and future projects, boosted as a result of the auspicious visit by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Japan which contributed a great deal in pushing forward the wheel of cooperation in various fields. Yoshihiro Yoshihisa and his accompanying delegation expressed delight for the meeting with the minister and the discussion of oil, gas and energy cooperation, aspiring to further coordination and opening investment areas in this sector as well as other areas to boost the national economies of both countries.
