Energy minister receives USAID delegation

Manama, Apr. 25 (BNA): Energy Minister Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza received a delegation of senior officials from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) USAID, led by Richard Pollard and Crystal Milazzo, in the presence of ESCWA Regional Advisor Environment and Water, Dr. Ralf Klingbeil. The minister thanked members of the delegation for their interest in the current situation of water in the Kingdom within their studies and research, affirming Bahrain's desire to benefit from USAID expertise to upgrade the water networks in the country. He highlighted the efforts exerted to protect the kingdom's water resources to ensure their sustainability. He affirmed cooperation and coordination with local and regional research centre, including the Arabian Gulf University. He also discussed with the delegation areas of cooperation with USAID in the field of water.
