Envoy: Iran, Successful Model Of Co-existence Among Religions

Vatican, May 16, IRNA – Iran's Ambassador to the Holy See underlined that the rights of religious minorities in the country is completely observed adding that Iran presents a successful model of co-existence among followers of different religions. Hojjat-al-eslam Ali Akbar Naseri in a press conference here on Tuesday, expounded on Iran’s principled stances in the world relationships. He said that Islamic Iran system is upon religious thought of humanity, freedom, interaction and cooperation with the world society. Naseri, by underlining importance of interaction, cooperation and unity among religious leaders of Islam and Christianity to administer justice in the world, said that terrorist and violent acts of extremist groups against Muslims and Christians came from enemies' conspiracy who take advantage of creating disunity. Concerning continuation of Iran peaceful nuclear program, Naseri said that according to the Islamic teachings, producing nuclear bombs is forbidden. He condemned the US dual standard policy in supporting the Zionist regime and said that this regime owns a nuclear arsenal and has been the cause of warmongering and instability in the Middle East for more than 60 years./end
