ERC implements humanitarian initiative in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, 25th June, 2015 (WAM) -- The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has begun implementing its charitable and humanitarian programmes in various regions in Pakistan, by distributing food parcels and setting-up Iftar banquets. Hamad Abdullah Al Ali, Director of the ERC office in Islamabad, with the help of ERC staff and volunteers and in coordination with the UAE Embassy in Pakistan, is carrying-out the Iftar project, which has so far reached 400 underprivileged people, including factory workers, and 250 children from an orphanage in the city of Rawalpindi in Punjab. The ERC also provided meals to 200 low-income people in the city of Peshawar, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
