Erdogan: Air Strikes Alone Will Not Bring Victory Against (IS)

BAGHDAD / NINA / Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that "air strikes by the United States and the international coalition against waged against (ISIS) in Iraq and Syria will not bring victory." He added in a joint news conference with the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė in the Turkish capital Ankara that "the participation of ground forces in conjunction with air strikes would be capable of achieving victory over the organization," adding that "his country had not yet received assurances from the international coalition to participate in air strikes against (IS) on forming a buffer and a safe zone on the Syrian border. " Erdogan said that "his government's approval led the Kurdish Peshmerga forces to enter Kobani in Syrian to fight / IS / cross Turkish territory."
