European Press: Athletes were ready for Baku 2015 First European Games

Baku, June 10 AZERTAC Great Britain`s www.scottishgymnastics.org website has published an article about the athletes who will represent the country in First European Games. The article says: “The curtain will raise on the 2015 European Games in Baku at the opening ceremony on Friday 12th June. The inaugural event will be Azerbaijan's first ever major multi-sport event as 50 nations compete across 20 sports over 17 days of action from 12-28 June. Team GB will be competing in 13 sports at Baku 2015, with four disciplines of gymnastics represented; artistic, trampolining, acrobatic and aerobic. Selected to represent GB as one of three men's artistic gymnasts is Team Scotland Glasgow 2014 silver medalist Frank Baines. Joined by Nile Wilson and Brinn Bevan, Frank's competition will get underway on Sunday 14th June at the purpose built National Gymnastics Academy. The Irish www.sportswomen.ie website also published an article about the athletes: “Katie Taylor leads the charge as the Irish team get ready to compete in the First European Games in Baku. A total of 63 athletes from 14 sports will travel to Baku for the European Games from the 12th-28th June 2015. Of that team, 27 female athletes will compete representing 12 different sports with swimming having the biggest contingent.”
