Ex-metropolitan police chief returns to Thailand

BANGKOK, July 14 (TNA) - Former metropolitan police chief Police Lieutenant General Kamronwit Thoopkrachang has returned home, after Japanese prosecutors decided not to indict him following his 23-day detention for possessing a handgun and ammunition at Japan's Narita International Airport. The ex-metropolitan police chief arrived in Thailand on Tuesday afternoon via a Thai Airways International (THAI) flight. The ex-Thai metropolitan police chief travelled to Japan on June 18 via a THAI flight and was arrested at the Narita International Airport with the North American Arms.22 Magnums while he was about to fly back to Thailand on June 22.
