Ex-minister Calls For Promoting Pakistan-Iran People-to-People Interaction

Islamabad, April 22, IRNA -- Former Pakistani federal minister for religious affairs has called for promoting people to people interaction between Iran and Pakistan. Talking to IRNA Muhammad Ijaz-ul-Haq said that Iran and Pakistan are like two brothers. He said 'Iran is our neighbor and we are also linked in the bond of religion.' “We have long lasting ties with Iran and we love Iran,” said the former minister. Ijaz-ul-Haq stressed the need for promoting people to people interaction between Iran and Pakistan. “We are proud of Iran as the country that has always taken stand on principles,” he added. The political leader said Iran has never yielded to any kind of external pressure adding that the government of Iran takes the decisions which are in the interest of its nation. “We salute Iran for taking courageous stand against the western policies,” the political leader added. He said Iran has always helped Pakistan in difficult times and 'we hope that the relationship between the two countries will continue to grow.'/end
