Executives of two hotels summoned to report to CMPO

BANGKOK, February 8 (TNA) - The caretaker government-run Centre for Maintaining Peace and Order (CMPO) has summoned executives of two first-class hotels in Bangkok, Dusit Thani Hotel and Intercontinental Hotel, to report to CMPO authorities on Feb 11, 2014 on charge of providing shelter for core leaders of the anti-government People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC). Department of Special Investigation (DSI) Tharit Pengdit, who is a CMPO member, told journalists of the update on Saturday afternoon, after a CMPO meeting. Under the summon, Tharit said, the executive of the hotels are to meet the CMPO authorities at 2pm next Tuesday to clarify themselves on the charge. According to the DSI chief, if the executives of the hotels could not explain or clear themselves on the charge, legal action would be taken against them. The DSI chief vowed that the CMPO would take legal action against all capitalists who are found to finance the PDRC leaders, as the Criminal Court has already been approved arrest warrants against the anti-government protest leaders.(TNA)
