Exhibits handed over for the Museum of Chinggis Khaan

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In the framework of establishing the Museum of Chinggis Khaan, works are being carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to identify and acquire the original copy or replicas of historical sources relating to the heritage and culture of Mongolia as well as archival documents, statues and monuments, and artifacts. Per an updated list of artifacts issued by the Ministry of Culture, 105 individual and sets of exhibits and artifacts are being replicated from collections in 12 countries. As of currently, replicas and digital copies of exhibits being kept in Russia, Poland, the UK, Germany, Austria, and Japan have been received. Acting Director General of the Department of Public Diplomacy and Cultural Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs J.Sereejav presented the exhibits to Head of the Department of Cultural Heritage at the Ministry of Culture B.Davaatseren on June 29. The two ministries are working to complete the works to acquire the original copy or replicas of exhibits and artifacts from other countries by the end of this year.
