Experts from Russia, France, Germany come to A321 crash site in Sinai

MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/. Experts from Russia, Germany and France have come to the site of A321 crash in the Sinai Peninsula to investigate into reasons of the disaster, spokesman for the group of Russia's emergencies ministry working there told TASS on Sunday. "To the crash site a helicopter has brought experts from the Interstate Aviation Committee from Egypt, France, Germany and Russia and representatives of Egypt's civil aviation ministry," he said, adding the experts examine the plane's fragments and will make necessary tests. Russian rescuers, working at the site, gave to the experts photo and video materials they made on the site. "The experts met head of the emergencies ministry’s group and discussed further actions," the spokesman said. Russian Kogalymavia’s A321 plane, en-route from Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg, crashed in the early morning of October 31 just some 20 minutes after its takeoff. The disaster site is 100 kilometres (62 miles) south of the administrative centre of North Sinai Governorate, the city of Al-Arish. Flight 9268 carried 217 passengers and seven crewmembers and they were all officially announced dead following the tragic accident. Most passengers were Russian nationals. Among the passengers onboard were also four Ukrainian citizens and one Belarusian national. Read more
