Extracurricular Centers for Schoolchildren

Pyongyang, July 29 (KCNA) -- Schoolchildren in the DPRK are spending the summer vacation at extracurricular centers built in scenic spots of the country. They are enjoying boating, sea bathing, mountaineering, etc. at different centers like the Songdowon International Children's Camp and Nampho and Sohungho children's camps. Meanwhile, schoolchildren's palaces, children's halls and juvenile sports schools also become animated these days. Jang Chol, president of the February 16 Schoolchildren's Palace, told KCNA that children of working people in Tokchon City are cultivating their talents to their hearts' content at the palace and it instills great pleasure and optimism into its citizens. The same is true of other palaces and halls across the country, including the Phyongsong Schoolchildren's Palace in South Phyongan Province and the Sapho District Schoolchildren's Hall in Hamhung City, South Hamgyong Province. -0-
