FAMOUS COMPOSER AWARDED JAPANESE ORDER

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Japanese Order of the Rising Sun of 4th Class Gold Rays with Rosette has been bestowed upon a composer N.Jantsannorov, the People's Artists and Twice State Prize Holder. This ceremony took place Tuesday at the Embassy of Japan in Ulaanbaatar. Mr Jantsannorov has been awarded as such for his significant contributions to strengthening of the bilateral cultural ties and mutual understanding between the Mongolians and Japanese. During the ceremony, Japan's Ambassador to Mongolia Mr Takenori Shimizu expressed a hope that presenting the Order to the Mongolian famous composer will bring big contribution to the Mongolia-Japan relations. The awardee N.Jantsannorov said his ties with Japan started in 1979 and activated in 1985. He recalled how a big group of the Japanese artists performed first time here within a big event "Music Podium of Asia". N.Jantsannorov emphasized that Japan and its people did biggest steps to propagandize the Mongolian Morin Khuur (national musical instrument) throughout the world, and that Japan realized many projects in the last 20 years, providing the professional musical school and theatres of Mongolia with musical instruments and by sending its experts to Mongolia. Present at the ceremony were L.Bold, the Minister of Foreign Affairs; Ts.Oyungerel, the Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism; related officials from the government; and fellows of N.Jantsannorov. The composer N.Jantsannorov is the 8th Mongolian to receive the Japan's Order. B.Khuder
