Father Of Iran’s Communications Science Passes Away

Tehran, Dec 7, IRNA – Professor Kazzem Motamednejad, father of Iran’s communications science, passed away in Tehran on Thursday after a long period of illness. Professor Motamednejad was 79 years old at the time of his death. He finished his primary and some parts of his secondary education at his birthplace in the town of Mowd in Sarbisheh. He also finished some other parts of his education in Birjand and spent the sixth year of his high school studies in Tehran’s Marvi high school. Professor Motamednejad received his bachelor of arts (BA) at the age of 23 and at the age of 26 he received his PhD in judicial law from Tehran University. He received scholarship from France. Professor Motamednejad worked as French translator for Kayhan newspaper. Professor Motamednejad has written many books and articles. His books include Press Law, International Relations, Western Mass Communication and Islamic Revolution of Iran: Critical Review of Western Developing Communications Theories in the Third World and Researching News Coverage of Iran’s Islamic Revolution in Western Mass Media. His other works include Communications Serving Humans: UNESCO’s Great Program for 1984-85, Communications and Communicational Means, Mass Media Law, Journalism, Journalism: With a New Chapter on Reconsideration of Contemporary Journalism, Research Methodology of Press Contents: With General Items about Analysis in Mass Communication, Method of Studying and Investigating Press, Bibliography of Mass Communications in Third World, Interview and Reportage, Critical Studies and Research in Social Communications, Press, Advertisement and Public Opinion, Press and News Means: Communications and Press in Today’s world and Mass Communications Means./end
