Fire breaks out at luxury hotel in Phuket

PHUKET, THAILAND, December 26 (TNA) - A fire broke out at the Royal Phawadee Village Hotel, a luxury hotel, near the Pa Tong Beach in Thailand's southern resort Phuket Province on Wednesday morning, causing damage of at least 10 million baht, but there were no reports of casualties. Seven fire trucks took over 60 minutes to bring the strong blaze under control, after it had raged about 11 rooms and a restaurant on the second floor of the hotel, which is located in Phuket's Ka-too district. People and tourists staying at the hotel safely fled out after the fire broke out. The cause of the fire is being investigated by forensic staff, but it was initially assumed to be caused by a short circuit. (TNA)
