Five Chinese Nationals Arrested For Violating Stay Permit

Palu, Central Sulawesi, Nov 27 (Antara) - The Palu City Immigration Police recently arrested five Chinese nationals for allegedly violating stay permits, Chief of Supervisory and Prosecution Affairs of Palu`s Immigration Office Amar B said here on Thursday. According to Amar, the five Chinese nationals, namely Yan Shiyuan, Yan Yong Sheng, Weng Kaiyue, Pan Erxing, and Xue Yong Yun, had entered Indonesia using valid passports. However, three of them had limited stay permits which allowed them to work but only in areas around North Jakarta (Jakarta province) and Sukabumi district (West Java province) areas. The other two only had passports and tourist visas. The five were arrested on November 25 when they were working at a mining site in Watusampu village, Central Sulawesi province. "They had worked at the mining site only for two weeks," Amar stated, while adding that the five Chinese nationals will be deported soon.
