Five Companies Hand Over Contracts To Join DSA 2016

LANGKAWI, March 19 (Bernama) -- Five companies handed over their contracts to participate in the 15th Defence Services Asia (DSA 2016)exhibition from April 18-21, 2016 at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur. The companies are AVP Engineering Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Sapura Secured Technologies, Destini Bhd, Weststar Group of Companies and SME Ordnance Sdn Bhd. They presented the contracts to Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein in a ceremony at the DSA 2016 booth at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition 2015 (LIMA'15) here Thursday. Defence Ministry Secretary-General Abdul Rahim Mohd Radzi, Chief of Defence Forces Gen Zulkifeli Mohd Zin, Army Chief Gen Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor and DSA Exhibition and Conference Sdn Bhd Chairman Asmat Kamaludin, were also present at the ceremony. DSA in a statement for the occasion said the signed participation and sponsorship contracts from the five companies involved a total of 1,300 square metres of exhibition space. To date, 70 per cent of the total space has been taken up by 700 companies. Ranked as Asia's largest and one of the top five defence and security exhibitions in the world, DSA 2016 is on track for another stellar showing next year. The event, will showcase cutting edge defence and security technology and services from around the world. The highlights of DSA 2016 includes the Chief of Army Roundtable Talk, Cyber Security Conference, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief, ASEAN Hall, business to business meetings, combat medicine, innovation centre, unmanned aerial vehicles and combat robotics demonstrations. -- BERNAMA
