Five natural heritages registered on national list

Tehran, Nov 23, IRNA - Five natural heritages have been registered on the national list and precincts of nine monuments were demarcated, said a senior official of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization. Farhad Nazari added that the five natural heritages are Zool Cedar Tree, Talkhik Cedar Tree and Morteza Ali Spring in South Khorasan province, Nebka (Gaz) Tree of Shahdad in Kerman province and Shirabad Waterfall in Golestan province. Nazari explained that Zool Cedar Tree dates back to 800 years, while Talkhik Cedar Tree is 1,000 years old. Morteza Ali Spring dates back to two millennia, while Shirabad Waterfall belong to Devonian and Paleozoic eras. The precincts of nine monuments demarcated in Boroujerd, Lorestan province, include Moazzen House, Imamzadeh Qasem Mausoleum, Hojjatieh School, Imam Jom’eh Bathhouse, Dokhaharan Complex, Homayouni House, Homayouni Garden and Hajari House./end
