Five suspected insurgents nabbed in Thai far South

BANGKOK, December 23 (TNA) - Local police arrested five suspected insurgents during their search at a house in Thailand's southernmost Yala Province on Friday. The police said that they believed the five suspects, aged 19-26, involved in an attack at a local police station in Yala Wednesday night, after which M-79 grenades and assault rifles were found, and that the five suspects gave ambiguous statements during initial interrogations. According to the police, the five suspects were found with outstanding arrest warrants issued under the emergency decree and have now been detained for further questioning. (TNA)
