Five Thai-Cambodian border crossings extend service hours

BANGKOK, January 10 (TNA) Thailand has announced an extension of working hours of five permanent border crossings on its border with Cambodia, starting next Monday, to facilitate border trade, tourism and cross-border trips. The move was in according to the cabinet resolution on October 29, last year, said Police Lieutenant Colonel Benjapol Rodsawasdi, deputy commander of immigration police in Sa Kaeo province. He said the five border crossings were located in Ban Khlong Luek village of Sa Kaeo province’s Aranyaprathet district, Ban Phak Kad and Ban Laem villages in Chanthaburi province’s Pong Nam Ron district and Ban Hat Lek village in Trat province’s Khlong Yai district and in Surin province’s Kap Choeng district. He said the border crossings would be open at 6 am instead of 7 am and close at 10 pm instead of 8 pm, adding that concerned authorities were fully prepared to serve Thais and foreigners crossing the checkpoints.
