Flash mob clip urges students to be optimistic and self-confident

Abu Dhabi (WAM): "Exams, whatever the em-tihan.. Relax, enjoy however you can" is the slogan of the Flash Mob Video shot recently during the morning assembly at Al Rabeeh Private School in Abu Dhabi. Students presented a performance to the song "I Can Do Anything". The two-minute video is posted on YouTube to coincide with the end of year exams. The video promotes students' academic growth and encourages them to study in order to be well-educated, rather than to only pass the exams (em-tihan in Arabic). The idea, presented by Anasy Media Production and directed by Mazen Al Khairat, was created to launch a campaign to support the students emotionally, during the exam period in particular, in which they face immense stress beginning from an early age. The clip is also intended to encourage students to be optimistic and self-confident. It is a step towards prompting the specialists to consider diverse ways that interest and stimulate the students. The Flash Mob was shot without prior notice, as school students and teachers were surprised when forty grade five students were gathered in the school yard, to interrupt the morning assembly. They trained previously to perform while the rest of the students and teachers were unaware. The show concluded with a message from popular footballer Salem Abdullah to the students. "We have to communicate directly with society and live with football fans, especially the new generation. I think that the message will reach the people faster if communicated by a well-known person, said Abdullah. Thanking Anasy Media for this important initiative and for choosing him to participate, Abdullah said this experience was greatly enriching. "I was very happy to meet the youth, speak to them, and feel the impact of their school environment. I also felt their happiness, so it was an extraordinary day for me and for them as well." – Emirates News Agency, WAM
