PRACHIN BURI, Thailand, October 13 (TNA) – The flood situation in the eastern province of Prachin Buri bordering Cambodia has worsened as several government and public health offices have been inundated, causing hardships to thousands of people. Officials on Sunday that said flood levels in Prachan Buri’s Prachantakham and Mueang districts had risen sharply and many government and public health offices were currently submerged by floodwater higher than 50 centimetres. More than 3,000 families in two other districts were also facing hardships after floods had inundated their homes, they said. Meanwhile, water in Yom River in Phichit province has overflowed its banks, inundating several villages which sit near the river in Pho Prathap Chang district. Roads linking villages are heavily inundated and villagers are forced to travel by boat.
