FM invites Iraq’s parliament speaker to visit Iran

Baghdad, Jan 14, IRNA – Visiting Foreign Minister of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif on Tuesday submitted an official invitation from Iranˈs parliament Speaker Ali Larijani to his Iraqi counterpart Osama Al-Nujaifi to pay a visit to Iran. Zarif arrived in Baghdad Tuesday morning from Beirut, Lebanon, on the second leg of his regional tour. Sending the invitation, Larijani asked Al-Nujaifi to attend the Islamic inter-parliamentary meetings to be held in the Iranian capital. More in the meeting, Zarif hailed Al-Nujaifiˈs cordial relations with Tehran. While in Baghdad, Zarif is to discuss major bilateral, regional and international developments with senior Iraqi officials.
