FMS OF MONGOLIA AND MYANMAR HOLD OFFICIAL TALKS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The official visit to Mongolia of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Mr U Wunna Maung Lwin started Thursday. On Friday, the Foreign Ministers of the countries held official talks. Chief diplomat of Mongolia L.Purevsuren said the two countries can develop their bilateral economic relations and expand the cooperation in the mining, tourism, culture and humanitarian sectors, noting that Mr Lwin is the very first FM of Myanmar to come to Mongolia. He also highlighted an importance of this visit in boosting the bilateral relations, maintaining a frequency of high level visits, and in expanding the cooperation between the Foreign Ministries. Mongolia intends to share with Myanmar its experiences in democratic transmission, reforms in court and parliamentary election, Myanmar recently has become a democratic country, Mr Purevsuren said, adding that the sides will exchange views on a support to Myanmar’s reforms. He said this visit may help Mongolia take Myanmar's support in forwarding such goals as to join the regional integration and to become members of the ASEAN Dialogue and the East Asian Summit. Within the visit, Myanmar’s FM will be received by the President Ts.Elbegdorj and the Premier Ch.Saikhanbileg. Then he will leg the General Election Commission (GEC).
