Foreign Minister meets British counterpart

London, Oct. 13 (BNA): Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa met in London today British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond. He lauded historic ties that have been biding Bahrain and the United Kingdom for about two hundred years and setting a model to emulate in friendly relations. He also praised growing bilateral relations thanks to the leaderships' keenness to boost them for the common interest of both countries and peoples and to increase cooperation regarding issues of common concern. Shaikh Khalid commended the United Kingdom's support to Bahrain and its keenness to cooperate with the countries in the region to solve issues and boost security and stability. The British Foreign Secretary hailed outstanding bilateral relations and Bahrain’s landmark development strides in all areas, wishing it further progress and prosperity. The meeting also discussed the latest regional and international developments. Bahraini Ambassador to the United Kingdom Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and a number of senior officials from the Foreign Ministries of both countries were present at the meeting.
