Foreign Minister participates in GCC meeting

Jeddah, May 29 (BNA): Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa took part in Jeddah today in the 139th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministerial Council meeting which reviewed means of strengthening GCC joint action as well as regional and international political developments. The Council stressed the importance of the 16th consultative meeting of the GCC leaders, set to be held on May 31, in supporting joint action and boosting regional security and stability. It also discussed progress in carrying out the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud regarding strengthening GCC joint action and the work plan to complete its implementation according to the resolution of the Supreme Council in its 36 session held on December 9 -10.
