Foreign minister participates in meeting on Daesh

Paris, June 2 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa participated in the Second Ministerial Conference of the International Coalition against the Islamic State (Daesh), co -chaired here today by the French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius and Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar Abadi. The meeting discussed the International Coalition's joint efforts to encounter Daesh terrorist organisation, and means to find political solutions to the Iraqi and Syrian crises in light of the current developments in these two countries. It also reviewed the International Coalition's strategy of fighting Daesh terrorist group, and how to stop its expansion and influence from spreading in order to maintain the security and stability of the region, as well as elimination of all kinds of terrorism as a main threat to the international community that entails global concerted efforts.
